Millionaire Nizam Gafoor

Interview with Nizam Gafoor

How does it feel to be the cream of the crop in the largest real estate agency in Singapore?

All praise be to god. I feel blessed, humbled and grateful. Earning a Million Dollars in a year is a dream for many. This has certainly given me greater confidence and believe that I can repeat the success not just for me but also for my associates and fellow PropNexians to break their own barriers and strive for greater achievements.

Honestly, the good feeling is not the money. Success will someday become history. Money earned will be spent. What stays is the experience, knowledge, confidence and the greater believe in oneself that comes with the success. This is what I am after and this is what I want to pass on to my fellow associates, friends and family.  This can transform generations to come when the learning values are passed on. And of course, if the money is well invested, it will be another learning journey.

I am thankful to PropNex sharing culture, unconditional love, support from fellow team leaders, fellow associates, PNG trainings and Booth Camps. All of these contributed to the success.

Tell us about your daily routine and what sets you apart from the rest and your formula for success?

I look at those ahead of me, to learn from them. To strive along with them. Keep pushing my boundaries and stay relevant to the market. I prioritise my tasks to serve my division, clients and family.

When the family is happy, I become a lot more productive with my work and interestingly the work feels a lot easier too. This takes a lot of practice on a daily basis.

Almost every day I sleep by 10.30pm and I am up by 5.30am. Waking up early allows me to have quiet time with myself and my wife. Daily morning walks, prayers and meditations are a must for me. This  “ME” time allows me to be grounded and be clear and focus on tasks and the days ahead.  The secret actually is to ensure that your family is happy. When the home is a happy place, your mind will be clear and ready to conquer the world.

Any memorable words of encouragement to share with your fellow agents?

Dream big as it is your right. Often dreams are defeated because of one’s own impatience and lack of appreciation of their own achievements and strength.

Do not be too hard on yourself because of your little failures. Instead, think of all your achievements, success and progress, regardless of how small they may be and be thankful. Focus on your strength instead of your weakness.

Where your thoughts go is where your energy will flow. What you harbour in your mind is what will show up in your life. Keep working on your dream. It will come through eventually.
